Greenburgh/Dobbs Ferry Police Consolidation & Shared Services Study
After receiving a NYS grant to study consolidation and engaging CGR as study consultant, a joint Village/Town Steering Committee spent nearly a year investigating and assessing options for the future of the two police departments. In November 2009 the Committee delivered its final report to the Town and Village Boards recommending several opportunities for expanding shared services between not only Dobbs Ferry and Greenburgh but among the six villages and the Town of Greenburgh, including consolidated dispatching of police and emergency personnel and shared training and investigations.
