A Review of Shared Service Options in Addison, NY: Facilities, Maintenance and Fueling
The Addison NY Central School District, in partnership with the Town and Village of Addison, engaged CGR to study the feasibility of enhancing shared services in the areas of administrative office space, vehicle maintenance and fueling. CGR presented a baseline review of the partners’ municipal facilities and fleet operations, along with cost and implementation analyses of potential shared service options in each area. CGR identified a series of potential options, whose advantages included capital cost avoidance; positive fiscal impact by returning certain exempt properties to taxable status; facility space efficiencies; and economies of scale through shared procurement.
