Northeast Joint Fire District Planning Study - 2006 to 2026 Staffing, Equipment and Facilities Needs for the Next Twenty Years
CGR studied the need for an additional fire house in the North East Joint Fire District and recommended that a new station be built near the intersection of Schlegel and Phillips roads. The study recommended that a pumper and light rescue vehicle be housed at the new station, estimated to cost $2.3 million. CGR also studied renovation needs to the district's Station #1 and staffing needs throughout the fire district, including the possibility of hiring career firefighters in the future.
