Pathways to Better Police-Community Relations in Rochester
CGR conducted a detailed analysis of police-community relations in Rochester. Among its various aspects, the study has focused on relationships of the police department with the courts and District Attorney’s office. One component of the study was an analysis of the impact of Drug Court as it relates to the police department’s efforts to address drug-related problems in Rochester. The study has recommended a variety of new approaches, policies and practices to improve police-community relationships and public safety within the city.
